The Planescape Sketchbook Pdf To Excel

I would go as far as saying that the linework and the composition tends to connote its subject matter more than denoting it -- they have the feel of being 'artist's interpretations' of people, places, and things that are real and were lifted from an accomplished artist's sketchbook. The PDF has the following sections.

Welcome to the Planescape Collector's Guide!
This is one of a series of Echohawk's D&D Collector's Guides, each of which aims to provide a comprehensive guide to D&D products published for a particular setting or era of the game. This particular guide focuses on the Planescape campaign setting, which was supported from 1994 to 1998.
This Collector's Guide isn't intended to be a comprehensive review of all D&D planar content, but is mostly limited to Planescape campaign setting products. It also includes a few of the generic products published near the end of the 2nd Edition release cycle that weren't officially Planescape products, but which may well have been if the line had continued. Beyond Countless Doorways is also included, because although it isn't an official Planescape product, Wizards of the Coast did give permission for it to be marketed as 'A Planescape Reunion Book', and for that reason it seemed a shame to omit it.
This was the sixth installment when the Collector's Guides were initially published. The original thread for this Collector's Guide is here.

When your business wants to present a new product or architectural design along with a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet breakdown of costs, details or other information, typically you'd have to open both Excel and AutoCAD separately and alternate between the two programs. However, if you want to save yourself the hassle, you can always directly import the drawing or a screenshot in order to illustrate your spreadsheet.

Direct Import

1.

Start up AutoCAD and open the drawing file you wish to export to Excel.

2.

Click on the 'View' tab and use the tools to set up your drawing to the desired view.

3.

Click on the 'Home' tab and click 'Select All' on the far right of the toolbox to highlight the entire image.

4.

Click the 'Copy' button to the right of the 'Paste' button in the toolbox. Do not close AutoCAD yet; it must remain open for the process to work properly.

5.

Start up Excel and open the document to which you'll be importing your AutoCAD drawing.

6.

Right-click on the Excel spreadsheet cell into which you want to import the AutoCAD drawing, and click 'Paste Special.'

7.

Select 'AutoCAD Drawing' from the list and click 'OK.'

8.

Use the controls on the image to re-size it and drag the image to its desired location.

Screenshot Import

1.

Start up AutoCAD and open the drawing file you wish to export to Excel.

2.

Click on the 'View' tab and use the tools to set up your drawing to the desired view.

3.

Press the 'PrtSc' or 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard.

4.

Start up some image editing software such as Paint, Adobe Photoshop or GIMP. As long as the editor has a crop function, you should be fine, but the rest of these instructions will use Paint as a base.

5.

Pdf To Excel

Press 'Ctrl' and 'V' together or use the 'Paste' function to paste in the screenshot.

6.

Click the 'Select' tool and draw a box around the section of the image you wish to include in the imported drawing.

7.

Click the 'Crop' button to cut out the excess from the image.

8.

Click the 'Save' button and save the image in an easy to find place, with a recognizable name. Ideally you'll want to use a high-resolution lossless format, such as PNG, to preserve detail and prevent the creation of artifacts, or distorted areas in the image.

9.

Start up Excel and open the document to which you'll be importing the AutoCAD drawing.

10.

Click the 'Insert' tab and select 'Picture' from the list.

11.

Navigate to the folder where you saved the cropped screenshot image and select it. Then click 'Insert.'

12.

Use the controls on the image to re-size it and drag the image to its desired location in the Excel spreadsheet.

Tip

  • Sometimes, for one reason or another direct importation will fail and produce only a white box. In this instance, it's best to use the screenshot method instead. Both have the same limited functionality within the Excel document, capable only of being re-sized to fit the document's spacing requirements.
